KitchenAid Hi-Density Hard Anodized 10-Inch, 3-Quart Saut Pan with Lid

With its gorgeous, marble-like exterior, this pan proves that not all hard-anodized aluminum cookware is created equal. KitchenAid calls its premium hard-anodized surface Hi-Density, reflecting the five extra manufacturing steps it undergoes to produce a glossy, charcoal gray finish, a stylish alternative to the ordinary matte finish produced by the anodizing process. Those extra steps also have a practical result, making the harder-than-steel surface nearly impervious to stains and scratches. Beneath the surface, an aluminum core spreads heats evenly across the bottoms of pots and pans and all the way up the sides.

> KitchenAid's Hi-Density hard-anodized cookware includes other nuances. Its 18/10 stainless-steel interior is polished to a mirror finish on the sides--less on the bottoms to hide the inevitable whisk and spatula marks. Wearing a mirror finish inside and out and equipped with big handles, lids sit down deeply to produce tight seals and to minimize rattling. Cast-stainless-steel handles are triple-riveted for strength and gracefully arched for easy lifting. Handles stay cool on the stovetop and go safely into the oven up to 500 degrees F. This straight-sided, 10-inch, 3-quart saut pan has a helper handle and is perfect for saut ing, frying, and braising. I have purchased 10 different KitchenAid Hi-Density Hard Anodized pans of varying types and have waited a year to write a review. These are the best pans I've owned (for their purpose) and highly recommend them for anyone who enjoys cooking and entertaining. They heat quickly and evenly, have a solid feel, excellent balance and very comfortable handles. In addition, they look great and clean up magnificently. These, coupled with my Crueset collection and my new Viking cooktop have made the fun and pleasure of cooking even greater. Anybody want to buy a pile of well used Calaphon?

I have the same problem with the sound fading in and out. This is basically unusable.

Customer Review: Great pan
I loved this pan so much, and got a great deal on it, only $20, or so. It's a great size. The pan fits nicely on the burner. It's small enough to cook just a little, but deep enough to cook more if you need to. Heats very evenly and cleans beautifully. I was going to get one for my sister who cooks as much as I do. I let her try it, intending to buy her her own if she liked it. Well, I've never gotten my pan back!! She loved it.
I haven't seen it as cheap as I got it before. I'm hoping that Amazon puts it on sale again. It kills me to pay more than I did last time. So, I'll wait patiently until it gets less expensive. In the meantime, I have my fond memories. It's a great pan. Buy one. JUST DON'T LOAN YOURS OUT!
Customer Review: Great Deal-Great Pan
This was the highest quality pan for the money that I could find anywhere. On line or in the stores. It is heavy for a stainless pan and cleans up beautifully. When sauteing or frying it creates a beautiful fond for great gravies and sauces. After looking in the stores and on the web and comparing quality and prices, my husband and I were extremely pleased with this selection. It was, in fact, much higher in quality than what we had expected.
